Dear Friends,
This evening at 6.30pm in the social hall, we will be showing a movie on St. Edith Stein. Edith Stein was a German scholar, from a Jewish family, although she herself was an atheist. She gained her doctorate in philosophy. She was inspired by the writings of St. Theresa of Avila and eventually became a Catholic. Later she became a Carmelite nun. During the Nazi occupation of Europe she was arrested and because of her Jewish background, she was sent to Auschwitz where she died in the gas chambers. I hope you can join us for this movie.
We continue to have an extra hour of adoration from 1-2pm to pray for healing for victims of abuse and for our Church at this time. Join us if you can. Have a great weekend.
Fr. Murchadh
