Dear friends,
This weekend, nothing in particular is happening, except that in each mass we will celebrate the greatest miracle ever to take place on earth. We are so familiar with it and yet it is a mind-blowing concept that bread and wine will become the body and blood of Christ during the consecration of the mass. I try and remind myself continually that this is what actually happens. I don’t understand it, but I believe it and it is my privilege as a priest to be God’s instrument for this miracle.
