Dear Friends,
Yesterday Pope Francis invited all of us to join him in praying the rosary for protection against this virus. It will be prayed at 9pm Rome time, which is 4pm our time. Therefore, in the church at 4pm we will have an hour of adoration, with the rosary. If you cannot join us in the church, I hope you can take time to pray the rosary with us wherever you are.
Tomorrow morning we will have mass, as usual and adoration until 1pm. We will then have to close the church.
Masses will continue to be celebrated each day by all of us priests. I will offer those masses for the intentions that have been booked and for all of you and your intentions, protection and peace.
Although it is a sad time, it is also a time when we can offer a great sacrifice to the Lord, just as He did for us. We offer ourselves and the pain that this causes us, for our world, our loved ones and a renewal of faith. When we get to open the churches again, it will be a greater joy than ever.
God bless,
Fr. Murchadh
