Dear friends,
Just a reminder that this evening at 7pm we will have the celebration of the Lord’s Supper, that is, the first mass and ordination of priests. After the mass the Blessed Sacrament is taken to the Martha and Mary room, where people are invited to stay and pray, accompanying Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane. This will continue until 10pm.
Tomorrow, Good Friday, we will have Stations of the Cross at 12pm, followed by the Divine Mercy Chaplet as the Novena to Divine Mercy begins.
At 3pm we will have the Celebration of the Lord’s Passion.
The Easter Vigil will be at 8.30pm on Saturday evening. This is the biggest and most important celebration of the Church’s year. Even if you don’t normally come to the Saturday evening mass, I would encourage you to come to this beautiful liturgy, as it is unique.
There will also be confessions available on Saturday from 2-4pm.
Did you know that the date for Easter is calculated as the first Sunday, after the first full moon after the Spring Equinox? We hope you can join us for these beautiful celebrations.
A happy and blessed Easter to you all.
Fr. Murchadh
